Kept Light Terms of Use

These terms cover your use of the Kept Light iPhone app, published by Morrow Lantern Co. LLC, a limited liability company (“we”, “us”). By downloading or using Kept Light you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

Apple’s terms also apply

You get Kept Light under Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. If these terms and Apple’s conflict, Apple’s terms control for the license, and these terms control for everything else. Apple is not responsible for Kept Light or for support for it.

What Kept Light is

Kept Light is a personal tracking and motivation app for fasting and habits. It is not medical advice, and it is not a substitute for a doctor. Talk to a health professional before you start a fasting schedule, especially a long fast, and if you have a health condition, are pregnant, or have a history of disordered eating. You use the app at your own risk.

Free access, then Kept Light Plus

• When you first open the app, you get full access for 14 days. No payment method is needed.
• After that, a free version continues. It keeps the picture and progress you already built.
• Kept Light Plus unlocks extra features. The features included in Plus are listed in the app and may change over time, but anything you already started is not taken away.

Prices and billing

• Plus is offered as a monthly subscription, a yearly subscription, and a one-time lifetime purchase. The current price and period for each are shown in the app before you buy.
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID by Apple. We do not receive or store your payment details.
• Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel any time in iOS Settings, under your Apple ID, then Subscriptions. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date to avoid the next charge. Your access continues until the end of the period you already paid for.
• The lifetime purchase is paid once and lasts for as long as we offer Kept Light on the App Store.
• Prices may change. A price change for a subscription follows Apple’s rules for notice and consent.
• Refunds are handled by Apple, under its refund policy. To ask for one, use Apple’s “Report a Problem” page.
• You can restore past purchases in the app on a new device with the same Apple ID.

Your content

The photo you choose and the pictures you make stay on your device. We do not receive them. You keep your rights in your own photos, and you promise you have the right to use any photo you choose. Do not use Kept Light with images that are illegal or that you do not have permission to use.

Our content

Kept Light, its design, code, and the pictures that come with the app belong to us or our licensors. Some artwork was created with Grok. You may use them only inside the app for your own personal use. You may not copy, sell, or reverse engineer them, except as the law allows.

Acceptable use

Use Kept Light only for lawful, personal purposes. Do not try to break, bypass, or misuse the app or its purchases.

No warranty

Kept Light is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We do not promise that it will be error-free, always available, or that it will help you reach a goal.

Limit of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data or health result from using Kept Light. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for Kept Light in the 12 months before the claim. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

Changes

We may update these terms or the app. If a change is important, we will update the date above or tell you in the app. Continuing to use Kept Light after a change means you accept it.

Ending

You can stop using Kept Light at any time by deleting the app. We may suspend or end access if you break these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Idaho, United States, except where your local consumer law says otherwise.
